Thank you for your letters dated 29th July and 18th August, addressed to Calsworthy and enclosing copies of your correspondence with the Ambassador on the above subject.

I have written to HacDougall in Ilong Kong, enclosing copies of your letters and su gesting that he should pursue with the Consul General, Centon with the arrangements for a Hong Kong service officer to

accompany members of the Consulate staff in Canton on their tours to outlying parts of the District.
